Tony

Trov

Co-founder, South Fellini

Tony and his bud Johnny Zito opened their brick and mortar South Fellini in 2016, as an outlet for their love of parodies and Philly-centric goods. Name someone who gets this city more, we double dog dare ya.
01
How did you end up in your industry?

I began my career with my business partner, Johnny Zito as creators at DC Comics. As a comic book creator, you have to recognize the product is a franchise that can be expanded into all forms of media. It can't just be a script, it has to translate into a book, movie and merchandise. We eventually stopped working for publishers and made all these projects independently.

02
What restaurant are you always excited to get back to and why?

Sang Kee Peking Duck House in Philadelphia's Chinatown. I love their wonton soup and I always buy their merchandise.

03
How has your worklife changed over the past three years? Or even the last six months?

Worklife is constantly changing for me. My shop was online only during lockdown and we reopened to the public in late 2022. Since then we've also relaunched our podcast on Youtube.

04
What’s the first thing you’d buy if you won the lottery?

If I hit the lottery I'd buy the building we rent for our store.

05
What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?

It's a marathon not a sprint.
